How to stay resourceful during stressful times using NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programme)


NLP is a very diverse programme. It shows us how our brain communicates and transfers data. It was first created to treat depression, phobias, learning disorders, and psychological problems. I have been reading a lot lately about NLP, trying to understand how our mind operates and how we can apply NLP in our daily life as well as the benefits of NLP programming.

My life is not as easy as it sometimes seems from the outside. I struggle daily, and it is completely based on the decisions that I made which I do not regret at all, but I do however recognize. I am aware of everything in my life, and I wanted to shift my negative thinking and my stressful times to happier ones and to enjoy life and achieve my goals. I genuinely believe that our brain is magnificent, and we could change it very quickly if we chose to do so. NLP will help you to develop the ability to learn and to create new habits with confidence.

It is difficult to change your mind while you are going through adversity and it causes immense frustration, but remember your goals and what is it that you want to achieve? Be honest and sincere to yourself, and you will be able to change your mind and take the steps towards change which will change your life forever.

How to change your mind using NLP?

First, you will need to understand that we are all different human beings and we behave differently too depends on different stimulus. We react to situations based on the data that we absorbed then our mind plays a significant role in interpreting such data and creates a map for us. So, to change your mind, you will need to delete your old negative data and to install positive ones. For you to install new data you will need to do the following:

  • Truly believe in yourself.

If you can’t believe in yourself and believe of who you are as a human being, how would you expect others to believe in you? You have your own vibration energy, and you want to vibrate a strong believe frequencies to yourself and everybody around you. I know it is sometimes hard to believe in yourself when you are going through difficult times however I too struggle, and I still believe in myself, and I chose to push myself and continue to say to myself that I can do anything, and I sincerely trust and believe in myself. I also think that the universe will work everything out for us, but we must do our duty and believe in ourselves and our ability to achieve anything if we set our mind to it.

Be careful of your self-talk and keep thinking and believing in yourself and what you can accomplish.

  • Practice, Practice practice

It is effortless to make plans or goals without taking steps to achieve them. Set a deadline for your goals and work towards them. Also, practice daily positive thinking, and practice being confidence by developing new skills that challenge you. Always think of yourself as a working process. Every day is a new day with new opportunities, take a chance and enjoy your life while practicing your self-development.

  • Set Goals and Never ever give up

Set many goals and work towards them such as love goals, family goals, monthly goals, and mentally goals. Know what you want to gain or achieve and what is your contribution in life.

Understand that no matter how small is your work towards your goal it is better than nothing at all and giving up, at least you are working towards it, and you are making sure that you are moving forward towards your goals. You can never lose anything by taking action towards it, but you will surely miss if you do not take action at all and wait for things to work out for you instead of moving forward.

  • Don’t do things that you hate.

It is imperative that you value your time and how you want to spend it. If you are wasting your time doing something you hate, you are creating a more stressful environment for yourself and the people around you. Instead, do something that you love, which will reflect in you and your vibration energy. You will feel happy, energetic and it will help you to change your brain chemistry to the better one.

  • Don’t judge others or care for their judgment

Sometimes it is hard to do not care about people opinions but understand that people do care about your views as well. So, there is no need for you to be stressed or care too much about people opinions. You can’t limit your mind and freedom based on other opinions.

The problem is you caring about people judging you; you will need to stop and take small steps and practice that you do not care about their opinions. It is essential to achieve a healthy and happy mindset is that you do not care about other people opinions at all and do not judge others. Always think of the possibility of everything and that people are fighting their demons too and that they are also struggling in their own way. Have a compassionate and open mindset attitude.

  • Have an open attitude towards everything.

Don’t assume that people are thinking about you or take their opinions personally. Sometimes if people don’t like you or if they ignore you, it is merely a reflection of their mind and their subconscious mind. You do not want to copy the same negative attitude, but you want to develop a better and valued one which distinguishes you from those people.

  • If you want something work towards it fiercely

I truly believe if you want something bad enough, you will find the time and effort to reach it.

Finally, once you have cleared your mind from all the distractions and negative thoughts, I want you to install better positive software and work hard towards it. Work hard towards loving yourself, doing something that you love, don’t judge people or yourself, challenge yourself and develop the confidence, stop wasting your time and use it wisely, be aware of your vibration and your well-being. Have a grateful approach to everything around you. One of the highest and better vibration is gratitude. You can’t be angry or sad and thankful at the same time. Understand that our mind is our unspoken language which speaks what we feel from the inside, and it appears on the outside by behaviour and vibration and feeling and manifests the outside world.
